Grant Balfour Named Athletics Closer

Grant Balfour has been named the Oakland Athletics closer, according to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle.

Balfour pitched 62 innings out of the pen for the Athletics last season, posting a 2.47 ERA and two saves on the year. It was his first season with the Athletics.
