Rubio tore his anterior cruciate ligament on March 9 with 16 seconds left in the game against the Los Angeles Lakers. The rookie point guard will not return this season as ACL injuries typically take about nine months to heal. The Timberwolves, however, are optimistic he will return at full strength next season.
