Rays Place Jeff Keppinger On Restricted List For Personal Matter

The Tampa Bay Rays have placed infielder Jeff Keppinger the restricted list due to an undisclosed personal matter, according to MLB.com.

The Rays have recalled Brandon Guyer, a Triple-A outfielder, to take his place. Guyer had hit .294 with three home runs and 13 RBI for Triple-A Durham.

Keppinger had signed a one-year, $1.25 million deal with the Rays this offseason. The 32-year-old is hitting .313/.338/.453 while playing multiple infield positions for Tampa this year.
