O'Neil was named president of MSG in July of 2008 and oversees the business operations of the New York Knicks, Rangers, Liberty and Hartford Wolfpack, in addition to events at MSG-owned venues such as Madison Square Garden. The reason for O'Neil's supposed departure has yet to be determined.
