2012 MLB season posts best attendance since 2008

The 2012 Major League Baseball regular season saw the most fans attending games since 2008, according to a report on Sportsbusinessnews.com.

The MLB's 30 teams drew a combined 74,859,268 fans over the course of 2,423 games this season, which is also a 2.0 percent increase over the 2011 season. The 2012 sseason is also in the top five best-attended seasons in MLB history, topped by the 2007 (first), 2008 (second), 2006 (third) and 2005 (fourth) seasons.
