The New York Yankees' 2012 season will be decided without Alex Rodriguez, at least at the start. Manager Joe Girardi has snubbed the struggling Rodriguez from his starting lineup, opting to start Eric Chavez at third base with Raul Ibanez as the designated hitter. Rodriguez has struggled mightily so far this postseason. He is 2-16 overall in the ALDS, and has been subbed out of the last two games in the series in crunch time. In Game 3 his replacement Ibanez homered twice to tie and then win the game for the Yankees.
