Detroit Lions wide receiver Ryan Broyles has suffered a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the NFL season, Lions coach Jim Schwartz told reporters Monday afternoon.

It's a big loss for the Lions, who had come to rely on the rookie wide receiver even more in the absence of Titus Young, who has been excluded from team activities after clashing with the Lions coaching staff. Broyles has 22 receptions averaging 14.1 yards in addition to two touchdown grabs.

Broyles left Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts midway through the first quarter with the injury to his right knee. Broyles suffered the same injury to his left knee in his last season at the University of Oklahoma.
