South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier received a two-year contract extension on Monday, a deal that keeps him at the school until the end of the 2017 season, reports WLTX, a Columbia, S.C. television station.

According to the report, the new contract does not change how much Spurrier is compensated. This season, Spurrier made $3.585 million and could get another $1.55 in bonuses.
