Big East wants to add a 12th school

Big East commissioner Mike Aresco said Monday that the conference is looking to add a 12th school, and may sign a TV deal with several networks.

Aresco says the the Big East wants to keep its name during the rebranding, and is hoping to add one more school to give it a total of 12 schools playing both basketball and football, after Navy joins the league in 2015.

He also said he's hopeful that deals will be worked out to keep conference rivalry games alive, even after the Catholic Seven depart from the conference to form their own basketball league.
