Monday February 25th, 2013

New York Yankees outfielder Curtis Granderson will miss 10 weeks of action with a fractured right forearm, according to a tweet from the New York Daily News' Mark Feinsand. Granderson suffered the injury in Sunday's Spring Training game against the Toronto Blue Jays when he was hit by a pitch from J.A. Happ. Granderson was set to the the Yankee's opening day starter at left field, but it now appears that hole will have to be filled by either Matt Diaz or Juan Rivera. Granderson is coming off his second consecutive All-Star season in which he hit .232 with 106 RBIs.
