Wild animal interrupts Swiss soccer match, bites player

A wild marten on the field interrupted Sunday's Swiss Super League match between FC Thun and FC Zurich on Sunday. The marten dashed onto the field a few minutes into the game, evading the attempts of players and officials to catch the animal. Play briefly resumed when the marten ran into the stands, but stopped once the weasel-like creature reappeared.

Loris Benito, a Zurich defender, tackled the marten and promptly received a bite on his finger. Zurich's gloved goalkeeper Davide Da Costa had better luck handling the animal, and managed to end the creature's escapade.
