Cornerback Chris Houston has agreed to re-sign with the Detroit Lions, reports USA TODAY's Mike Garafolo on Twitter. Houston's agents later confirmed the agreement.

Houston started 13 games for Detroit last season and intercepted two passes. In 2011, the cornerback picked off five passes and returned two for touchdowns.

The 28-year-old Houston has spent the past three seasons with Detroit. His signing could be the start of a big day for the Lions. Free agent running back Reggie Bush, safety Glover Quin and defensive end Jason Jones are reportedly visiting the team today.
