Hall of Famer and Braves SVP Hank Aaron joins Twitter

Hall of Famer Hank Aaron officially joined Twitter on Tuesday, under the handle @henrylouisaaron. Aaron currently serves as the senior vice president for the Braves, the team he played with for the first 21 years of his career, first in Milwaukee, then in Atlanta when the franchise moved.

In his first tweet, Aaron said, "I am officially on Twitter! I won’t be posting a lot, but look forward to sharing with you."

Aaron, 79, has served as the team's senior vice president since 1980. He made every All-Star team from 1955 through 1975 and was the 1957 MVP. His career 755 home run record was broken by Barry Bonds in 2007.
