Nuggets' Kenneth Faried day-to-day after spraining left ankle, will have MRI Monday

Denver Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried left Sunday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers after rolling his ankle during a shot attempt.

He had to be helped off the floor, but X-rays were negative and the Nuggets officially called him day-to-day with a left ankle sprain. According to The Denver Post's Chris Dempsey, Faried will undergo an MRI on the ankle on Monday.

Faried's injury is the latest in a recent spate for the Nuggets. The team lost starting forward Danilo Gallinari for the season with a torn ACL last week.

With two games left to play in the regular season, Denver finds itself one game up on the Los Angeles Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies for the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference playoff field.
