Oklahoma QB Kendal Thompson arrested for public intoxication

Oklahoma quarterback Kendal Thompson was arrested early Friday morning for public intoxication and interference with official process, reports SoonerScoop.com.

Thompson is vying for the starting job with the Sooners.  He completed 8 of 15 passes for 86 yards with one touchdown in the Sooners' spring game last month.

According to a report, police responded to a party and found Thompson lying on a hill, snoring.

Thompson then awoke and officers told him to remain seated "many times". Thompson stood again with his hand in his left pocket and did not sit down.

"As I was speaking with him, he was not making sense with incomplete sentences and was becoming harder to understand him," said Norman police officer Steven Boxford in the affidavit. "He continued not to obey commands and I grabbed his right arm and completed a spinning arm bar to take the defendant to the ground," said Boxford in the affidavit. "Once on the ground, the defendant continued to fail to obey commands to put his hands behind his back and get on his stomach."
