Struggling Los Angeles Angels outfielder Josh Hamilton will miss this weekend's series against the Pittsburgh Pirates because of a right wrist injury, according to MLB.com's Alden Gonzalez.

The injury -- suffered to the same wrist Hamilton sprained in 2007, causing him to miss more than a month -- "flared up" during a pregame hitting drill 10 days ago, Gonzalez reports.

Hamilton expects to return on Tuesday after the team's off-day on Monday.

The 32-year-old, who is hitting .207 with 76 strikeouts in 71 games, said the injury has had little impact on his hitting: "Not as much initially getting to hit, as far as the hitting part. It's the deceleration or swing and miss. Yeah, I wish I could blame it on that."

Hamilton will hold out of pregame activity throughout the weekend, as well, according to the report.
