The Toronto Blue Jays placed right fielder Jose Bautista on the 15-day disabled list with a bone bruise on his left hip, the team announced Tuesday.

Bautista left the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the New York Yankees due to left hip soreness. He went 0-for-1 with a walk before leaving in the fourth inning. Bautista dealt with back spasms earlier this season that caused him to miss a few games.
