The Cincinnati Reds are expected to call up 22-year-old speedster Billy Hamilton on Monday, according Cincinnati Enquirer reporter John Fayman.

Hamilton, a former shortstop turned outfielder, has exhibited historic speed during his time in the minor leagues, swiping 155 bases in 132 games between High-A and Double-A. In Triple-A this season, Hamilton is hitting .256 with six home runs, 41 RBI and 75 stolen bases in 90 attempts. Hamilton has also tallied 18 doubles and six triples while sporting a .308 on base percentage.

During a game last season against Jacksonville, Hamilton hit an inside the park home run and reportedly ran the bases in 13.8 seconds. Hamilton was recruited to be a wide receiver for Mississippi State University while at Taylorsville High School in Mississippi.
