Barry Switzer is latest to rip Johnny Manziel's actions

Add Oklahoma coaching legend Barry Switzer as the latest person who didn't appreciate how Johnny Manziel acted during Texas A&M's 52-31 victory over Rice last Saturday.

The reigning Heisman Trophy winner was taken out of the game in the third quarter after receiving a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for taunting.

Former coach Lou Holtz said he would have grabbed Manziel "by the throat" if he was his coach.

ESPN broadcaster Matt Millen went even further saying he would put his "size 13 boot" up Johnny Football's behind.

Switzer, whose players got in their share of trouble while he coached at Oklahoma, put his two cents in.

“I'm certainly disappointed in his actions,” Switzer said on ESPN Radio. “For him to act so arrogant, I wanted to jerk his face mask and I wanted to grab him. Of course you get fired for that now; in the old days you could get away with that. It's the world we live in. It's a misplaced value system. When I see this happen I wonder where the core value system comes from, if he has a core value system. This young man needs a damn hell of a lot of development.”
