Jaguars starting left tackle Luke Joeckel was carted off the field with a broken ankle in the first quarter of Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams.

Joeckel was taken in for X-rays which revealed that the ankle was broken and Joeckel will miss the remainder of the year. The second overall pick in this year's NFL draft, Joeckel was one of the lone bright spots for a win-less Jaguars team.

Joeckel was replaced by Cameron Bradfield. Shortly after Joeckel's injury,  Jags QB Blaine Gabbert was hurried into throwing an interception that was returned for a touchdown by the Rams, tying the score at 7-7.

The Jaguars would go on to lose the game 20-34.
