MLB 'cannot draw any conclusions' from Jon Lester foreign substance video

During last night's Game 1 of the World Series, Boston Red Sox left-hander Jon Lester shut down the St. Louis Cardinals, pitching 7.2 innings of shutout baseball, striking out eight and becoming the third pitcher in the past 25 seasons to throw at least seven scoreless innings in Game 1 of the World Series.
Videos and photos of Lester's glove showed a discoloration, prompting questions about if Lester may have had a foreign substance hidden in his glove.
The Cardinals, who lost the game 8-1, never brought the issue to officials and the umpires did not question Lester or notice anything out of the ordinary.
Major League Baseball quickly had an answer for those conspiracy theorists.

Pat Courtney, MLB's senior vice president of public relations, issued a statement about Lester's glove.
"We cannot draw any conclusions from this video. There were no complaints from the Cardinals and the umpires never detected anything indicating a foreign substance throughout the game."
