University of Louisville guard Kevin Ware returned to full contact practice on Sunday and coach Rick Pitino says he looked to be returning to pre-injury form, according to Jonathan Lintner of USA Today.
Pitino told reporters that Ware "had no hesitation" and that he looked "very good" during the teams practice on Sunday. Ware had been cleared to participate in full contact drills more than a week ago, but Pitino and the team's training staff chose to proceed cautiously due to the severity of Ware's injury.
Ware suffered a gruesome fracture in his right leg during last season's NCAA tournament, which sidelined him for the final two games of the Cardinals championship run. Ware is hopeful that he will be able to return to the floor for Louisville's season opener against the College of Charleston on Saturday.
