Track and field runner Gabe Grunewald has her gold medal again.

Grunewald was reinstated as the winner of the women's 3000 meters at the USA Indoor Track & Field Championships, according to the AP.

Grunewald, who won the race on Saturday with a time of 9 minutes, 23.15 seconds, was disqualified after the race when an opposing runner's coach launched a protest.  Alberto Salazar, coach of the fourth place finisher, Jordan Hasay, said that Grunewald jostled Hasay during the bell lap.

USA Track & Field said in a statement Monday that Jordan Hasay withdrew her appeal.

"Grunewald had said the contact with Hasay, who finished fourth, was inadvertent.

Hasay said in a statement that she decided to withdraw her protest "as I do not want to make a national team under these circumstances."
