The Dayton Flyers may be an 11-seed, but they are blowing away the competition when it comes to Twitter mentions.

Social media analytics group Simply Measured compiled the total mentions of each of the Sweet 16 squads and found the Flyers to be the clear winners with 59,788 tweets, winning by a wide margin over the eighth-seeded Kentucky Wildcats, who had 34,715 mentions.

The data also showed Duke's opening-game loss to Mercer University to be the most tweeted-about upset, with a peak of 6,284 tweets per minute.

The most tweeted-about player in the tourney's first weekend was Michigan State's Adreian Payne with 28,198, followed closely by Shabazz Napier of UConn and DeAndre Kane of Iowa State.
