The Saints fielded an historically bad defense in 2012, a difficult season in which head coach Sean Payton was suspended for the entire year.

In last year's draft, the Saints added safety Kenny Vaccaro, and he contributed as New Orleans rebounded to 11-5 in 2013. Now, the team has added free agent safety Jairus Byrd to its secondary. That signing gives New Orleans additional freedom with its six picks in the 2o14 NFL draft

Needs: Cornerback, offensive tackle, slot receiver, outside linebacker
