Clay Matthews fined $22,050 for hit on Russell Wilson

Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews has been fined $22,050 for his hit on Russell Wilson during the NFC Championship Game, according to Adam Schefter

Matthews hit the Seattle Seahawks quarterback during an interception return and was penalized for a blindside block. The Packers star also had a late hit on Tony Romo in Green Bay's first playoff game.

Wilson bounced back from the hit, overcoming two more interceptions to lead Seattle to a 28-22 victory in overtime. The Seahawks overcame a 16-0 halftime deficit, scoring 15 points in the final two minutes of regulation to clinch a berth to Super Bowl XLIX against the New England Patriots
