Inclement weather due to hurricanes in the area caused the Harbor View FC vs. Pumas UNAM match to be postponed, and completely soaked the match between Deportiva Jalapa and San Francisco FC, which ended 1-0 in the home side's favor.

In a water-logged affair, Deportiva Jalapa managed to squeeze by San Francisco FC 1-0. Juan Carlos Castillo scored the only goal of the match in the 16th which was enough to see the home side past the ANAPROF defending champions.

The pitch of the Estadio de Flores was in such terrible condition that the commitment of the players was questioned as neither team seemed really interested in playing. But regardless, Deportiva Jalapa came away with the win and have the edge going into the second leg on Sept. 4 in Panama.

The first leg of the preliminary round between the Jamaican side Harbor View FC and Mexican club Pumas UNAM was postponed due to the severe weather related to Hurricane Gustav.

CONCACAF has tentatively rescheduled the game for Friday night, Aug. 29, for 9 p.m. local time in Kingston, Jamaica.
