San Luis parts ways with manager Scatolaro

A failed run at the Mexican league playoffs and an incomplete Copa Libertadores campaign were all San Luis manager Americo Scatolaro had to show for his one season in charge of San Luis.

It was not enough to retain his job. Scatolaro's contract expired at the end of the season and the club chose to pursue other options.

Scatolaro was 4-8-5 in league play and although he guided San Luis to a surprising berth in the Round of 16 of the Copa Libertadores, neither he nor his team got the chance to prove their worth. The Mexican Football Federation pulled out of CONMEBOL competitions due to a dispute between South American clubs and their Mexican counterparts following the H1N1 flu outbreak in Mexico.

Former America manager Juan Antonio Luna has been linked to the now-vacant San Luis post.
