The Columbus Crew have announced that Guillermo Barros Schelotto will be back with the team for a fourth season after signing a new contract on Tuesday.

"It was a long process, but we're very happy to be able to re-sign Guillermo for this season," said Crew head coach Robert Warzycha to the league. "He's obviously been a very good player for this team and I'm glad we got him signed in time for the start of preseason camp."

Schelotto's signing will not occupy a designated player slot and as per club and league policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In his three years with Columbus, Schelotto, 36, has made 73 appearances for the club, scoring 24 goals. He won the 2008 Major League Soccer MVP award before helping his team to an MLS Cup triumph.
