NYON, Switzerland (AP) -- UEFA says Chelsea will host the Women's Champions League final at its Stamford Bridge stadium.

The 41,000-capacity venue will stage the match on May 23, two days before the Champions League final at Wembley Stadium for the second time in three seasons.

Last season, more than 50,000 people at the Olympic Stadium in Munich saw Lyon beat Frankfurt 2-0 in the women's final. Two days later, Chelsea won the Champions League by beating Bayern Munich in Allianz Arena.

Lyon is a two-time defending women's champion having beaten another German club, Turbine Potsdam, in the 2011 final at Fulham's Craven Cottage stadium watched by 14,000.
