BARCELONA, Spain (AP) -- Barcelona says left back Jordi Alba will be sidelined for around three weeks after tearing a muscle in his right leg.

Alba was substituted early in Saturday's Spanish league match, a 3-2 win over Sevilla.

The injury will rule Alba out of Barcelona's Champions League opener at home against Ajax on Wednesday and its second group phase match at Celtic on Oct. 1.

Alba, a Spain international, scored the first goal in a 2-0 win over Finland in a World Cup qualifier last week.
