BARCELONA, Spain (AP) - Barcelona says Neymar will be sidelined for three to four weeks because of a right ankle sprain.

The Brazil striker was hurt on Thursday in a Copa del Rey match at Getafe while attempting to extend his dribble to the goal-line in the 22nd minute. He fell under his own weight and went over his limb. There was no contact with any Getafe player.

Neymar, in obvious pain, immediately called for Barcelona's medical staff, who helped him to the locker room after taping up his ankle. Alexis Sanchez replaced Neymar.

''Thankfully it wasn't as bad as it could have been,'' coach Gerardo Martino said after the match. ''He'll be sidelined for a time but everyone should stay cool, he's all right. I don't think it will sideline him too long.''

Medical scans on Friday revealed the extent of the injury.

Barcelona reached the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey by an aggregate score of 6-0.

Neymar has 10 goals in all competitions for Barcelona since his summer transfer from Santos.
