Report: Carlos Tevez's father released after kidnapping in Argentina

Carlos Tevez's father has been released after being kidnapped early Tuesday morning, the Associated Press reports.

According to the Spanish report, Tevez's father, who was not identified by name, was kidnapped from his car in Argentina. He reportedly was released unharmed eight hours later.

The report states that the release occurred after a ransom fee of $400,000 was paid.

Tevez was sold by Manchester City to Juventus for €9 million in June 2013. He is reportedly training in Italy with his club.
