Arsène Wenger: Arsenal no longer 'vulnerable' to losing players
Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger told Paul Hayward of The Telegraph on Thursday that his team is no longer "vulnerable" to losing players to other clubs.
Though Bacary Sagna left for Manchester City in June, Wenger said Arsenal is no longer a place to develop players who will leave to go to bigger clubs.

“We are less vulnerable for sure,” Wenger says, reflecting on a phase in which he lost Kolo Touré, Emmanuel Adebayor, Gaël Clichy and Samir Nasri to City. “In the last two years we have bought Mesut Özil and Alexis Sanchez. Five years ago we would have lost Özil and Sanchez.”
Wenger also pointed out that Arsenal has also signed players away from a team, taking Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Calum Chamers from Southampton alone.
Arsenal will play Manchester City on Sunday in the Community Shield at Wembley Stadium.
