MANCHESTER, England (AP) — Sergio Aguero scored a hat trick — including two late goals — to inspire Manchester City to a 3-2 win over 10-man Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday, boosting the English champions' chances of advancing.

Aguero, who put City ahead with a 21st-minute penalty that led to the sending-off of defender Mehdi Benatia, consigned Bayern to a first competitive loss this season by scoring again in the 85th and then the first minute of stoppage time.

City is tied on five points with Roma and CSKA Moscow in Group E and plays Roma away in its last match.

Already-qualified Bayern rallied with 10 men to take the lead with goals in the final five minutes of the first half through Xabi Alonso's free kick and Robert Lewandowski's header.
