Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said Saturday that midfielder Aaron Ramsey and defender Laurent Koscielny will be out for "a few weeks" with injuries.

After a 4-1 win over Newcastle, Wenger confirmed the hamstring injury Ramsey suffered Wednesday in a Champions League win over Galatasaray is significant enough to keep him out. Ramsey scored two goals Wednesday, including a stellar 35-yarder, but didn't return after halftime.

"It's a shame because he was getting close to last season's form," Wenger told reporters Wednesday.

Ramsey has three goals in 14 games for Arsenal, tied for third on the team with Santi Cazorla and Danny Welbeck. Ramsey also has two assists, tied for second.

On Friday, Wenger also said that Koscielny could miss another month with an Achilles injury, according to the Daily Mail.

"He has an inflamed Achilles and nobody can guarantee it will not come back and no doctor says to me it’s over,’ he said. "Even without playing he will need to rest for two or three months, complete rest."

Koscielny has played in eight games, with one goal on two shots.
