Andrew Jean Baptiste, 22, is a native of Brooklyn with three years of MLS experience; two with the Portland Timbers and one with Chivas USA. A central defender, Jean-Baptiste has made 41 appearances in the MLS regular season.

The most well-known of the trio may be the 29-year-old Zubar, a former French youth international that has played in Ligue 1 with Marseille and the English Premier League with Wolves. He comes to the Red Bulls from Ligue 1 club Ajaccio, with which he made 38 appearances and scored two goals.
