Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho said he can guarantee that longtime defender John Terry will be back with the team next season, according to the team's official site.
Terry's contract expires this summer. The 34-year-old has been with the club since 1998, save for a loan spell at Nottingham Forest in 2000.
"What I can guarantee is that he will be a Chelsea player next season, said Mourinho. "To guarantee that it's because I know what my board tells me and I also know what the player tells me.
"There are no doubts he is going to get his contract."
Terry has made over 500 appearances for Chelsea in his career and was a fixture of England's national team from 2003 to 2012.
Chelsea, which just won the League Cup by beating Tottenham in the final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, plays West Ham on Wednesday.
