Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez had another big performance for Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday, scoring twice in a 3–0 win against Hannover 96.
The Mexican striker continued his resurgent season with a brace that moved him to a remarkable 21 goals across competitions this season.
His first came with Leverkusen up 1–0 in the 63rd minute after Stefan Kiessling received the ball in the box, split defenders and drew a foul. Chicharito converted at the penalty spot.
Goal No. 2 came with three minutes left in the game after a cool finish in space past Ron-Robert Zieler, sealing the victory.
