Will Ferrell discussed being part owner of the Los Angeles Football Club on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday.

After starting a “L-A-F-C” chant with the crowd, Ferrell talked about his style of ownership.

“The way I'm going to model my role as an owner is kind of a George Steinbrenner type,” Ferrell joked. “I'm going to wear a lot of turtlenecks and sport coats and hire and fire one manager like 10 times in one season.”

Fallon then tested Ferrell’s policies on punishment by reading the list of infractions that led to Ohio teenager Brain Garruto being kicked off of his recreational soccer team.

Farrell seemed to approve of Garruto’s antics, including making a phone call while on the field, sitting on the opposing team’s bench, wearing a cowboy hat during the game and “giving birth to the soccer ball after scoring.”

Magic Johnson, Mia Hamm, and Nomar Garciaparra are all also part owners of the new club, though they may be a little more serious about infractions than Farrell.

LAFC is scheduled to debut in 2018.
