AC Milan owner and former Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi could be in hot water after making a racially insensitive comment while talking about forward Mario Balotelli, according to the Guardian.

During an interview at the club’s training ground, where a celebration was being held to mark his 30th year as owner, Berlusconi began discussing his hope of having an all-Italian roster. He then said that Balotelli “is also Italian even if he has taken too much sun.”

Balotelli was born in Sicily and is the son of Ghanaian immigrants. He was raised from an early age by a foster family in Concesio, Italy.
