With Guidolin still being treated for a chest infection in London, first-team coach Alan Curtis took charge once more as the Welsh team moved nine points clear of the relegation zone.

Gylfi Sigurdsson settled the match after 61 minutes with his sixth goal in 10 games, sliding home substitute Leroy Fer's pass.

Norwich lost its eighth game in nine matches and was 18th in the league.

Infantino was among the crowd after travelling from the International Football Association Board meeting in Cardiff.
