Marcus Rashford nets hat trick in another debut: England U-21s
Marcus Rashford maintained his good habit of marking debuts with goals, scoring a hat trick in England's Under-21 national team's UEFA U-21 Championship 6-1 rout of Norway on Tuesday.
Rashford, who scored two goals on his Manchester United debut in the Europa League, another in his Premier League debut and one more in his England senior national team debut, did the honors three times in his first match with the U-21s. The 18-year-old forward opened the scoring in the 29th minute, scored his best of the lot in the 66th minute and then capped the hat trick with a penalty in the 72nd before making way with six minutes to go in the game.
Rashford has made just one appearance thus far this season under Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, but it was a vital one, as he scored the game-winner off the bench in stoppage time of a 1-0 triumph at Hull City.
Perhaps his international showing will earn him more minutes in this weekend's highly anticipated Manchester derby, which pits a pair of 3-0-0 sides against one another at Old Trafford on Saturday.
