Barcelona Target Marco Verratti Considering Changing Agent to Mino Raiola
Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla has claimed that PSG midfielder Marco Verratti is considering changing his agent to notorious negotiator Mino Raiola.
The playmaker, widely believed to have been chased by Barcelona this summer, has reportedly grown increasingly frustrated with current agent Donato Di Campli.
The Italian claimed his client was being held prisoner at PSG earlier this month, after which Verratti apologised.
Their relationship has since broken down and Verratti could be set to join the ever-growing group of players on Raiola's books.
And if he is to join up with the Italian-born Dutchman, it could Manchester United that are encouraged in their pursuit.
The super agent represents Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, as well as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has left the club following the expiry of his contract.
Raiola is said to have a good relationship with United and speculation is bound to increase that another of his players is headed for the Premier League club.
Manager Jose Mourinho is believed to be keen to bring Verratti to Old Trafford, although Barcelona are also said to be interested in the 24-year-old.
The Portuguese coach has already strengthened his squad with the arrivals of defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica and Everton forward Romelu Lukaku, and has now turned his sights towards adding a midfielder.
Verratti has established himself as one of Europe's most complete midfielders, scoring three goals and providing five assists in 28 Ligue 1 appearances last season.
