Bayern Star Claims Titles Aren't Enough & Everyone at Club Aims to Be 'The Best'
Ahead of Bayern’s pre-season friendly against Arsenal in Shanghai, Thomas Müller has claimed that Bayern’s relentless drive for success remains undiminished following five consecutive Bundesliga titles.
Die Bayern dominated the German league once again finishing 15 points clear of runners up RB Leipzig and made it to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
But with the signings of James Rodriguez, Corentin Tolisso, Serge Gnabry, Niklas Süle and Kingsley Coman this summer, the 27-time league winners show little signs of slowing down heading into next season.
Speaking to Bayern’s Official Website ahead of their clash with the Gunners, Germany international Thomas Muller said:
“It makes you glad when you come here and see the support for FC Bayern….We need to give our all.”
Asked whether he thought the FCB would retain the Bundesliga title once again, Thomas Muller replied:
“It’s not about winning titles, for us it’s about being the best. And you only do that when you’re getting the points and sitting at the top every week.
“It doesn’t matter that we’ve won the title for the last five years. Our motivation is looking at the table every week and seeing Bayern München at the top. Then we’re happy and we can have a nice Sunday. That’s what we work for every day.”
