Newly promoted Premier League club Huddersfield Town are set to complete a loan deal for Chelsea midfielder Kasey Palmer.

Palmer spent last season on loan with Huddersfield, and, according to the Telegraph correspondent John Percy, he is ready to re-join the club for another year. Percy posted to his personal Twitter account stating that the deal is set to go ahead.

Palmer played a big part in the promotion success for David Wagner's side and was one of the club's top performers throughout a hard-fought season in the Championship.

He appeared 27 times for the club in all competitions - he scored five goals and provided three assists.

The 20-year-old signed for the Chelsea academy from Charlton in 2013, but has yet to make an appearances for the Blues first-team - despite working his way through the ranks at several other clubs whilst being out on loan.

The youngster has even earned himself four caps for England U21s, but he just missed out on the U21 European Championship which took place this summer in Poland.

Izzy Brown, another Chelsea youngster, spent the season on loan with Huddersfield and Percy's tweet also suggests that Huddersfield will consider making his move to the club a permanent one - following an impressive campaign playing alongside Palmer.
