However, it was reported by the BBC on Sunday that an Oxford United label has been found on the new Bristol City away shirt. Investigations are being carried out by Bristol Sport who deal with the club's commercial interests.
The rather peculiar and comical blunder came to light when Bristol City fan Matthew Gillet posted about the mistake on Twitter. Gillet tweeted "Any idea why there's an Oxford United badge inside my new #PurpleAndLime Shirt?"
