New Liverpool signing Mohamed Salah has claimed, in an interview with Liverpoolfc.com, that he is excited for the new season after a successful couple of games in Hong Kong.

Jurgen Klopp's side finished off their week in Hong Kong by winning the Premier League Asia trophy, after beating Leicester 2-1 in the final on Saturday.

Salah scored in that game and has seemingly already settled in with his new teammates.

The win against Leicester makes it three wins and a draw for Liverpool so far in their pre-season preparations, something which has delighted new signing Mohamed Salah:

"I think we've had quite a good start, we've played [four] games and won three - it's a good start for us," claimed Salah. "And every game we're getting better and better, so that's the most important thing."

"It's a friendly but it's important for us to win every game and you see the team improving and that's important."

The goal against the Foxes was Salah's second for the Reds, since joining from Roma for £35m.

Liverpool's other successful pre-season fixtures have seen them beat Crystal Palace and Tranmere Rovers and draw to Wigan Athletic.

The Egyptian international feels as though during this time he has comfortably slotted into the Liverpool front-line and paid tribute to his teammates and the manager, for the ease with which he has done so:

"We try to play good football," he added. "We do what the boss says and try to enjoy the game and also to work hard. I hope it can work every time!

"The team, we have very good players, who play with heart and with quality, with different styles.

"I'm playing well with them and trying to show my football."

The 25-year-old will now continue his pre-season preparations with his new team-mates, as they take on Hertha Berlin, Bayern Munich and Athletic Bilbao, before the season starts away to Watford.
