The most anticipated debut of the season finally happened on Sunday night as Neymar took to the field in his PSG kit for the first time. The Brazilian sensation signed from Barcelona in a record breaking £198m transfer. 

Les Parisiens won 3-0 in a comfortable away victory and Neymar bagged an assist and a goal along the way. Yahoo Sport reported the breakdown of the 25-year-old's wages, explaining what he'll earn daily and hourly - and it makes for nauseous reading.

But how much did Neymar earn for his humble performance last night? Well his salary equates to £515k per week, which breaks down to around £73k a day. Further calculated into 90 minutes, Neymar would have earned £4,590 for his debut in France. 

But that sort of money doesn't just get thrown at anyone (well not always) but for PSG they know they are getting one of the best players in the world in Neymar. In his short stint at Barcelona, the Brazilian netted over a 100 times for his former team and has already racked up 52 goals for his national side.

He split opinion of himself when he decided to call it a day with Barcelona and move to Paris. Some thought he committed career suicide by giving up the chance to play with Messi and for Barcelona, whilst others have praised him for being brave enough to take on a new challenge. 

How Neymar fairs with PSG will only be revealed in time. But if his debut is anything to go by, the former Ligue 1 champions and fans have a lot to look forward to.
