According to a report by Tuttosport, Juve are nearing the end of their search for a central midfielder and the club could make a formal bid for Gomes relatively soon. However the report also suggests the club are closer to signing Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman.

It is thought that Gomes is more likely to leave the club if the Catalan club secure a deal for Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri.
